Overview

Our lathe program is growing faster than our bench of programmers, and right now a handful of critical jobs are sitting on one person's shoulders. We need an offline lathe programmer who can pick up those programs, own them, and start writing new ones for twin spindle, twin turret machines with live tooling and bar feeders. If you know MasterCAM and you think in terms of spindle synchronization and tool paths, this seat is yours to define.

What you'll own

  • Take over our existing lathe program library within your first 90 days, including twin spindle, twin turret jobs running live tooling and bar feed.
  • Write new offline MasterCAM programs for complex turning, milling, and mill-turn operations on aerospace and defense parts.
  • Optimize cycle times, surface finish, and tool life on programs already running in production.
  • Build complete programming packages for new jobs: tooling lists, setup sheets, and first-article planning.
  • Work directly with Quality to program to tight tolerances and complex GD&T on flight-critical and guided-system components.
  • Revise programs in response to engineering changes, customer updates, and corrective actions, and keep documentation current.

What we bring

Delva Tool & Machine is an AS9100 Rev D certified shop in Cinnaminson, NJ, building precision aerospace and defense components. We hold tolerances to plus or minus 0.0002 inches across aluminum, stainless, titanium, and tool steels, running two shifts on Vertical Mills, Lathes, Swiss Lathes, and Mazak 5-axis horizontals with robotic loaders and automated pallet systems. The parts you program here fly and matter, and the equipment on our floor gives you room to actually solve hard turning problems instead of babysitting old programs.

What you bring

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years of relevant CNC programming experience (Level II) or 6+ years (Level III)
  • Hands-on offline programming experience in MasterCAM
  • Experience programming twin spindle, twin turret lathes with live tooling and bar feeders
  • Ability to read and program to tight tolerances and complex GD&T
  • High School Diploma/GED plus trade certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent work experience (Level II); associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Level III)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Prior experience mentoring or leading other programmers
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing background under AS9100

Pay and benefits

$38.46 to $67.31 per hour ($80,000 to $140,000 per year), based on level and experience. We offer medical benefits, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
