CNC Mill Operator
The Work
Delva Tool & Machine builds precision aerospace and defense components where a half-thousandth of an inch is the difference between a part that ships and a part that doesn't. We need production operators who can run Haas CNC equipment consistently, keep parts moving, and take pride in hitting tolerance every cycle.
What You'll Own
- Run production cycles on Haas CNC mills and lathes, loading and unloading parts and materials per established work instructions.
- Within your first 90 days, become trained and fully operational on all current production parts running on your assigned equipment.
- Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges at each stage, catching issues before they reach inspection.
- Monitor your machine for any irregularities, tool wear, or abnormal behavior and flag problems to your supervisor immediately.
- Deburr, clean, and prep finished parts for inspection or the next operation, following the traveler and work instructions step by step.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and in compliance with shop safety policies at all times.
Why Delva
We hold tolerances to +/-0.0002" on aerospace and defense components, which means the work you do here actually matters. Our facility is AS9100 Rev D certified and runs two full shifts across Vertical Mills, Lathes, Swiss Lathes, and Mazak 5-axis horizontals with robotic loaders and automated pallet systems. This is not a job shop turning out one-offs; it's a disciplined production environment where precision is the baseline, not the goal.
What You Bring

- High School Diploma, GED, Trade/Vocational Certificate, or equivalent hands-on work experience.
- Basic comfort operating CNC equipment (mills, lathes, or similar machine tools).
- Ability to use common hand measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow written work instructions precisely.
Required (Machinist II, if applying at the higher level):
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts.
- Experience adjusting offsets, replacing tooling, and diagnosing common machining problems (dimensional drift, surface finish, tool wear).
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade/Vocational Certificate, Associate's Degree, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to have (either level):
- Prior experience on Haas CNC equipment specifically.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-tolerance manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
