Position Summary
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of operations for a Magenta LLC. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep industry knowledge, operational expertise, and a track record of driving profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive strategic growth and operational excellence within the medical injection molding industry.
- Lead cross-functional teams with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with quality standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and cost control strategies to drive profitability.
- Develop and execute sales strategies; build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure market competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, AS9100D, and other regulatory requirements.
- Foster a high-performance culture through effective hiring, mentoring, and talent development.
- Champion technology adoption, including ERP/MRP systems and innovative manufacturing solutions.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience in plastic injection molding or a related manufacturing industry. Working with the medical industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ISO certifications (ISO 13485, AS9100D, etc.) and compliance standards.
- Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, and other business management tools. Experience with IQMS is a significant plus.
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
- Experience with implementing new manufacturing technologies to improve operational performance.
