Position Summary
We're seeking an experienced Machinist III who can independently set up, troubleshoot, optimize, and operate complex CNC equipment while serving as a technical resource and mentor to other machinists. This is an opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technology, challenging precision parts, and a team committed to excellence.
*This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. Our work area is 100% climate controlled. The hiring range for this role is between $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is also being offered at this time*
What You’ll Do
- Lead setups and operation of complex CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machining centers, and specialized equipment.
- Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to optimize production efficiency and part quality.
- Validate programs through first-run and first-article inspections.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Programming, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Apply advanced knowledge of materials, tooling, cutting strategies, and machining best practices.
- Mentor and support Machinist I and Machinist II team members.
- Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
- Support AS9100 quality standards and assist with audits as needed.
- Serve as a lead machinist when required, helping coordinate workflow and production priorities.
