Position Summary

Delva Tool & Machine (DTM), a Consolidated Machine & Tool (CMT) location, is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Data Analyst to join our growing team. The CNC Manufacturing Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting manufacturing data from CNC operations to drive process improvements, enhance product quality, and support decision-making in our aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. This role requires a data-driven mindset, an in-depth understanding of CNC processes, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

*This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. The salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from CNC machines and production processes, including cycle times, tool wear, downtime, and production output.
  • Identify patterns and trends in CNC data to recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality standards in line with aerospace and defense industry requirements.
  • Develop dashboards and visual reports using data visualization tools to present key metrics, process improvements, and real-time data insights to cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into production issues, using statistical analysis and data mining techniques to determine root causes and provide corrective action recommendations.
  • Work closely with CNC operators, production engineers, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to implement data-driven solutions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize data to predict machine failures and maintenance needs, coordinating with the maintenance team to schedule proactive interventions and reduce unexpected downtimes.
  • Maintain detailed records of data findings, analyses, and recommendations, ensuring compliance with aerospace and defense regulations, including AS9100 and other relevant standards.
  • Lead data-driven projects aimed at enhancing productivity, optimizing resource utilization, and improving overall production workflow.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data analysis role within CNC machining, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar software.
  • Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, including tooling, programming, and machine maintenance.
  • Experience with statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, or similar software).
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR compliance.
