Position Summary

CMT is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to oversee the financial operations of the company. This role will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to financial leadership, guiding the company’s growth and profitability while maintaining strong internal controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Oversee accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Serve as a financial partner to the CEO and executive team, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and lender covenants.
  • Optimize ERP (JobBoss) and accounting systems (NetSuite) to enhance financial processes.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to improve cost control and financial efficiency.
  • Manage lender relationships and oversee cash flow, treasury, and capital allocation.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
  • Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or private equity-backed environment.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and pricing strategies.
  • Experience managing lender relationships and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
