Position Summary
Delva Tool & Machine (DTM) is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The Quality Engineer will ensure the products and all associated documentation are per requirements and standards as defined by our customers and our internal quality system. They will also perform timely and thorough inspections of products and documentation as required. *This position works a schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The salary range for this role is $50,000 – $110,000 per year, and applies to Quality Engineer I, II, and III, with final compensation determined by level, experience, and qualifications*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

| - Assist in maintaining and updating the Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, work instructions, forms, and quality records
- Support investigation of customer complaints, internal nonconformances, and returns
- Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, including documentation and follow-up
- Maintain CAR/PAR logs and ensure accurate tracking and closure
- Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / AS9100) by gathering documentation and evidence
- Perform basic data collection and assist with Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting
- Support receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities as needed
- Assist with employee training related to quality procedures and documentation
- Use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators) under guidance
- Perform other duties as assigned

| Quality Engineer II | 4–7 years of experience in a quality or product engineering role | Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience | - Independently manage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including creation and revision of SOPs, risk assessments, validation protocols, and technical documentation
- Lead investigations of customer complaints, internal nonconformances, and returns
- Initiate, manage, and close CAPAs, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification
- Own CAR/PAR log management and drive timely resolution
- Lead SPC analysis, trend reporting, and data-driven quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in and support internal, customer, and third-party audits
- Support implementation of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, process optimization)
- Provide quality engineering support to manufacturing, receiving inspection, and production teams
- Assist with employee training and mentoring of Quality Engineer I staff
- Interpret complex engineering drawings with GD&T and evaluate inspection methods
- Perform other duties as assigned

| Quality Engineer III | 8+ years of progressive quality engineering experience in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing
Demonstrated experience leading audits, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives | Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field
| - Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards
- Serve as subject matter expert for AS9100/ISO compliance, audits, and customer quality requirements
- Lead complex customer complaints, quality escapes, and systemic CAPAs with cross-functional teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using advanced Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop and analyze advanced SPC metrics, dashboards, and quality performance trends
- Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits, including corrective action responses
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Quality Engineers I and II
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership on risk management, process validation, and quality planning
- Review and approve quality documentation, inspection plans, and control plans
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes from a quality perspective
- Perform other duties as assigned
