Position Summary

Mill Creek Machining (MCM), a Delva Tool company, is seeking a Plant Manager for our Paullina, IA locationThe Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing the team, and ensuring the facility operates efficiently, safely, and profitably. This individual will serve as the operational leader on-site, balancing immediate production needs with long-term process improvements and growth initiatives. This role requires someone who can step into an established environment, understand its current state, and methodically elevate performance without disrupting what already works.

*This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 4:00pm. Our work area is 100% climate controlled. The hiring range for this role is between $130,000 - $150,000 per year*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all plant operations including production, scheduling, quality, and workforce management
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance standards
  • Build a culture of ownership, consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical, sustainable solutions
  • Partner with leadership to support business growth, capacity planning, and scalability
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are consistently met
  • Develop and mentor supervisors and frontline employees to strengthen the overall team
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and organized work environment
  • Monitor key performance metrics and drive data-informed decision-making
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Strong ability to manage people, enforce accountability, and build trust across teams
  • Patient, level-headed leadership style with a focus on long-term success over quick fixes
  • Experience managing operations in a small to mid-sized facility or job shop environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to stabilize and improve processes without unnecessary disruption
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable taking ownership of outcomes—not just managing tasks
  • Note: CNC machining experience is not required. Leadership capability and operational mindset are the priority.
